Biography

Miller Search was founded by Rob Miller who has been retained by clients for over 20 years to fill their most critical and hard to fill needs. Known for his depth of experience, client focus and sense of urgency, clients have commented; “Rob is a superb recruiter and works smart. He is one of the best in the business.” 

Rob has over 20 years of retained Executive Search experience focused on recruiting senior level executives in the Consumer and Industrial manufacturing and services industries.  

He is a trusted adviser and subject matter expert to Chief Executive Officers, Human Resources Officers and other key stakeholders of private family-owned businesses, private equity firms and public corporations. He has successfully completed over 250 executive searches across all functional disciplines for early stage and middle market companies.

Before establishing Miller Search, Rob was a Principal in the Chicago office of a national retained executive search firm. Prior to that he was an Executive Vice President with a leading Top 5 Global executive search firm. He began his search career with a national search firm focused on Retail and Consumer Goods. Earlier, Rob spent 14 years in merchandising and operating roles with leading national specialty retailers. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Indiana University. 

Rob resides in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago with his wife and enjoys golf, spending time with his family and summers on the Leelanau Peninsula of Northern Michigan.
